Infiltration & vacuum infiltration

In certain 3D printing processes where a green form 3D printed object is created it may need to cure, and in the green form may not have the performance or structure characteristics required.

Either infiltration or vacuum infiltration methodologies may be employed, to create an object with the required performance or structure characteristics not achievable by the part in its green form.

Vacuum infiltration may be used, in for example 3DP Z Corp’s technology created parts, where a vacuum chamber aids the infiltration process, to create an airtight and watertight seal. Using this process the parts will also feature chemical resistance, and be able to withstand higher temperatures.

In addition to designing and creating 3D objects, we can also infiltrate SLS parts produced by others using our materials.
